Interior designers from all over the world have come to a conclusion: hipster-inspired furniture is on the outs.
So what exactly is “hipster furniture”? According to design aficionados, this means dark reclaimed wood, pastel hues, and anything that looks recycled; these are being traded in for fresher, more sophisticated pieces.
*Damn David, you’re my favorites, but WTF? ?If you’re a magic buff like I am, you no doubt know who David Blaine is. Blaine is the amazing illusionist and endurance artist who never wasted time on stupid card tricks. No, he started off blowing folks’ minds levitating; doing crazy things like walking on water (no offense, Jesus), being buried alive and even hanging upside down for 40 hours. He definitely thinks out of the box, But this time he went too far and almost killed himself. He shot himself in the mouth.
I’ll give you a minute to absorb that.
You a’iight? Due to extreme luck, or whatever you may choose to call it…so is he.
Blaine’s stunt actually went wrong during his Beyond Magic show last November. But it was only broadcast on E4 on Saturday night during a clip showing him spitting frogs out of his mouth into the audience.

*Sereno was so close to his human that he broke down at the funeral. Wagner Lima, 34, died after a motorcycle crash in Paraiba Brazil and according to?Inside Edition, who picked up the story, the horse, seeming to know his human was inside the coffin, laid his head on it and “whimpered during the procession to the cemetery.”
Thankfully, Sereno will not be left on his own. Wagner’s brother has promised to care for the animal.
This video will prove beyond the shadow of any doubt that our animals feel the same sense of loss that we humans do.
*Yes you were. No I wasn’t. I’ve got the video! This is what one adorable pooch had to endure when his owner pulled a dirty trick on him as he was sleeping. Poor doggie was getting a deep sleep in when his tricky human decides to tape his snoring. Funny stuff. See video below.
Kinda makes me want to playback that recording I have of a certain friend who swears by god he doesn’t snore.
*Many of you may be too young to remember how, in 1969, serial killer Charles Manson shook the core of the United States of America when he and a band of young, misguided, and vulnerable individuals went on a killing spree. I was but a child, yet I remember it well. For what was ultimately a four night slaughter, Manson and his followers took the lives of nine innocent people. The first night they went to the home of film director Roman Polanski and killed his pregnant wife, actress Sharon Tate, along with writer Wojciech Frykowski, coffee heiress Abigail Folger and celebrity hair stylist Jay Sebring. Steven Parent, who was a friend of the family’s gardener, was also killed. And on the following night, Manson was said to be dissatisfied with the sloppiness of the job, so he went to the home of supermarket executive Leno LaBianca and killed him and his wife, Rosemary.
The murders were committed by Manson followers Tex Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, and Leslie van Houten. And the group would eventually be arrested and indicted for the crimes.
I recall the entire country appeared to hold its breath in unison. And the horrendous event would go down in history as the Tate-LaBianca Murders. Continue reading →
*One of my former in-laws used to talk about needing to know someone who knew how “to get a prayer through” to God. ?After reading about the McCabe family of Chicago, you’ll agree that they’re on that list of folks!
Five-month old Daniel McCabe had been fighting a rare liver disorder since he was born. ?Just before Christmas, things got so dire that doctors placed him on a waiting list for a new liver, and prepared the family for a wait of several weeks, if not months. ?(The average wait for a liver is 86 days for kids and up to 149 days for adults.)
*I’m filing this one in?my new GMFB file: ?Give Me (a) Break. ?(I’ll let you fill in the “F” for yourself, just in case?there are?children in the room.)?
Five-year old Moriah Modisette was killed and her father was seriously injured when another driver, Garrett Willhelm slammed into their car at 65 mph on a Texas highway in 2014, according to her family. ?Willhelm was chatting away on a FaceTime video chat at the time of the crash. ?FaceTime was still running as rescue workers removed Moriah’s lifeless body and her dad from the demolished car.
Instead of holding Willhelm liable, the family has gone after Apple, according to Fortune.com, as it’s their FaceTime program that runs on their mobile platforms. ?The family claims the company has failed to install a “lock out” feature on FaceTime, thereby preventing drivers from using the app while on the road. ?The family’s lawsuit alleges that Apple was granted a patent to install the feature earlier in 2014, and the feature could have prevented the catastrophic crash.
