Watch: Did This White Teacher Tell His Black Student He’d Shoot Him in the Head?

*“I’ll bet before you’re 21, someone will shoot you in the head…and it might be me that will do it.” A white male teacher is seen and heard on camera saying this to one of his students. We don’t actually see the student he is aiming this threat at on camera, but the parent of the student said to be the target has wasted no time speaking out, and after filing a police report, the teacher has been placed on administrative leave.

After learning about what happened to her son, April Carr, posted the video of the teacher’s racist rant in Facebook. Racist, she claims, because before the teacher got to the threat, he used that infamous “You people” phrase; and Carr says the majority of the students in Paul Hagen’s science class  at the Rockdale Career Academy in Conyers, Georgia is Black.

Hagen was identified in police records.

While TV reports mention that Carr admits her son was acting up, print reports reveal her saying her son did nothing disrespectful. She speaks about the conversations she has had with her son — the same conversation that many Black mothers raising young, Black men have.

The altercation is said to have started because some of the children in class was laughing as Hagen wrote an equation on the board. Allegedly, hearing this, he turned around and walked towards Carr’s son and said…

?Don?t smile at me, man, OK? That?s how people like you get shot,? he tells the student, and continues, ?I got a bet. I bet by the time you?re 21, somebody?s gonna put a bullet right through your head. And it might be me ? the one that does it.?

Can you even fathom a TEACHER saying this to a student. YOUR teenage child? But then again, are we really surprised? Remember: KKK members are oftentimes the teachers, doctors and politicians under those white sheets.

On the video (scroll down) you can slightly hear some of the shocked responses from the other students. Radio Host Rickey Smiley even weighed in tweeting, “Are you for real?” and wrote about it on his blog.

Of course this opens up a whole ‘nother can ‘o worms, the rarely reported or discussed issue of teacher aggression. Obviously, it not only students who cross the line in school; though they are the only ones reported.

Here’s the FOX5 news reports. The Facebook video is included.
