Frightened concertgoers run blindly as gunfire overwhelms the crowd.

*People have been touched immensely by the massacre in Las Vegas on Sunday and survivors and families have even said although they appreciate prayers, they are simply “not enough.”

As a result, many folks put their money where their heart is and contributed to a GoFundMe campaign which, as of Tuesday, less than 48 hours later, had raised upwards of $4 million dollars.

The GoFundMe page was created by Clark County Commission chair, Steve Sisolak, from Las Vegas. He kicked it into gear with a $10,000 donation.

On the campaign page Sisolak writes…

“We are raising funds to assist the victims of the tragic Las Vegas shooting. I spent last night with Sheriff Lombardo at Clark County’s only level-one trauma center. Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting?.”

Donations have poured in from athletes, musicians and numerous very generous people, known and unknown.

According to the page these donors include the NFL’s Oakland Raiders and the NFL Foundation, Kid Rock, Mike Tyson and the music group, The Chainsmokers.

“The hate that this one individual, this lone wolf, rained down on our community and on the MGM Village park was met with an outpouring of love by our entire community. And we will get through this together,” the statement on the page concludes.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg responded to Sunday’s Las Vegas massacre in a post published Monday saying.

“It’s hard to imagine the loss from the shooting in Las Vegas. It’s hard to imagine why we don’t make it much harder for anyone to do this.”
