*On Monday, a woman trusted her niece and the girls’ friend to babysit her seven month old daughter while she took a shower. Little did she know she shouldn’t have.
Apparently they thought it would be funny to put the crying infant in the refrigerator; after all, they were laughing as they did it. As one girl held the crying baby, put her inside the refrigerator and closed the door; the other videotaped it.
Then they had the gall to post the video on Snapchat.
That’s where the police caught wind of it. And as you may have guessed, they’re not laughing.
Danvers (Massachusetts ) police Chief Patrick Ambrose said, “We were notified by Swampscott (police) of video involving an infant child.”
On the video the girls laugh as they close the door of the refrigerator while the baby is heard screaming. One girl even says “bye” as she slams the refrigerator door. Moments later, they open the refrigerator door and remove the baby.
Reports say they actually lied about what happened; saying they had actually gone into the fridge to get the baby a bottle.
No one knows for sure how long the child was kept in the refrigerator and fortunately, according to the authorities, she suffered no trauma and is home with her family after being checked out.
The child’s mother was shocked after police, who had been alerted to the online video, showed it to her. Even more shocking is her tone of defending her niece.
“My niece is a good-hearted girl who wouldn?t hurt a fly,? she told local media.
“I know she wouldn’t hurt my daughter and that wasn’t her intentions. I think it was all foolishness, stupidity,” she added.

But the mother also revealed that the incident has traumatized her against leaving her child with anyone ever again.
Because the girls are juveniles, their names and ages have not been released. They were, however, arrested in Danvers, Massachusetts and charged with assault with a weapon and child endangerment.
“I will no longer be leaving my children with my niece or her friends again ever in my life,” says the child’s mother.
“Be careful who you leave your children with,” she cautioned. “You can’t trust anyone, not even your own family.”
How much you want to bet they weren’t laughing in jail? I swear, these wenches need a hobby.
