The retired staff sergeant made the announcement last week on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
After recovering from his injuries, Sgt Mills started a foundation to help wounded veterans, The Travis Mills Foundation.
Those are all of the relevant details of this wonderful story. Congratulations to the Mills family!
Now, let’s get to the “WTF!??” I alluded to earlier.
Before I go there, let me say that I have nothing but respect for the men and women who serve our country in the armed forces. Only a true hero puts himself in harm’s way to keep his or her country safe. I commend Mills for the courage and tenacity it must have taken to recover from his injuries, when many of us might have just given up, and for his current work on behalf of fellow wounded veterans.
Now let’s go there:
Dude lost both of his arms and both of his legs in an explosion, and he just got his wife pregnant for the second time.
Think about that for a second.
The appendage that Mills has left must be a wonder to behold. An effing beast! A 21 gun salute BEAST.
I had to work to get my former wife pregnant, and that was using all four of my limbs — simultaneously, thank you very much — AND Lil Mikey.
If I ever meet Mills, I’ll salute him!
