The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors is proud to address the prevention of sexual harassment in our industry with this problem-solving panel featuring three expert panelists – Emmy Award-winning producer Vin Di Bona, CEO, an industry leader and employer; Attorney Margaret Rosenthal, a legal expert in the field of class action lawsuits, including sexual harassment; and Dr. Gail Wyatt, a renowned clinical psychologist and sex therapist. They will help define where the harassment line is and when it’s been crossed. Join us for what will be a powerful and transformative event.
Tanya Hart, will be Moderator for panel. Multiple Emmy winner Tanya Hart is Co-Chair of The Caucus and President of Tanya Hart Communications Inc. A veteran host, producer, and commentator with a wide range of broadcasting experience, she currently is the Host of “Hollywood Live with Tanya Hart,” on American Urban Radio Networks’ 300 stations. Hart, recently moderated a salon of panels for Microsoft and the Brookings Institute’s Digitalization: A Road to Economic Inclusion.
VIN DI BONA is a four-time Emmy award-winning producer and eight-time Emmy nominee, as well as recipient of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award for his work in documentary programming. He is CEO of Vin Di Bona Productions, Chairman of FishBowl Worldwide Media, is a national board member of the Smithsonian, an Emerson Board member and alumnus and he has a star on the Walk of Fame.
DR. GAIL WYATT is a clinical psychologist, sex therapist and professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA. She was an NIMH Research Scientist Career Development Awardee for 17 years. Her research examines the consensual and abusive sexual relationships of women and men and the effects of these experiences on their psychological well-being. Dr. Wyatt has testified before Congress 10 times, often on the Committee on Women and Children headed by Joe Biden, advocating for extending sexual abuse and assault reporting requirements for women and men.
MARGARET ROSENTHAL is co-chair of law firm Baker Hostetler’s Employment Class Action Team and coordinator for the Los Angeles employment and labor group. Margaret focuses her practice on the defense of class actions; California Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases; and litigation of employment claims, including sexual harassment.
The Caucus supports the legislation AB 1870, the SHARE Act (Stopping Harassment and Reporting Extension) aimed at addressing the issue of harassment in the workplace, introduced by Assemblymembers Eloise Reyes (D-San Bernardino), Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) & Marie Waldron (R-Escondido) alongside industry stakeholders and advocates in the “Me Too” movement.
