*I drive for Uber. It gives me a great opportunity to meet a diverse group of people and because I have no problem at all conversing with ANYONE, I get to have incredible conversations with them. Last night two awesome people got into my car: a female police officer and a young man, 18, who aims to become a cop. Of course, I didn’t know the woman’s occupation at first, it’s not like she was in uniform. But these are the kinds of things you learn about people after you begin talking. As it turns out, she was in Dallas when all sh*t broke loose.
The first thought that came to my mind when I learned what she does was, “Whew! I am SO glad I didn’t say anything negative about the police!”
And did I mention she is white?
She told me she doesn’t work for the DPD, but for a private agency. We talked back and forth. I told her what I do and we both shared why we chose the careers we chose and how each of us really came into our chosen paths to make a difference.
She was the nicest person. And it really reiterated in my mind the importance of never forgetting that there are actual individuals behind these groups of people and that to judge the entire group, based on the actions of one person, is just plain wrong.
I made sure to say this to her in reference to the Dallas incident, where the actions of ONE LONE GUNMAN named Micah Johnson should NOT be aligned with the ideology behind the entire Black Lives Matter movement.
*Make no mistake, those are not the tears from a hurt-so-good experience, many of which former rookie cop Daniel Holtzclaw has no doubt experienced while raping and forcing more than a dozen Black women to perform sexual acts on him.
No, these tears are those of a wimp who was caught and does not want to pay for the crime.
Holtzclaw wept uncontrollably in court as jurors convicted him last month on four first-degree rape counts and 14 other charges, and followed that with a recommendation that he spend 263 years in prison for the crime. And to think he thought so little of these women, he assumed no one would believe them.
In 1987, Tawana Brawley of Wappingers Falls, New York, told police that she was raped and tortured by several white men, some of them officers as she noticed a holster and badge during the assault. They wrote “n****r” and “bitch” on her torso with feces, and she was found in a trash bag in burned clothes. In 1988, a jury concluded that her claims were all a part of an elaborate hoax, and in 1998, she was ordered to pay $190,000 for slander.
Now, in 2013, Tawana Brawley’s judgement of $190,000 to pay one of the men who was named as an attacker, former county prosecutor Steven Pagones, has ballooned with nine percent interest, to a whopping $431,492. According to the New York Post, she has avoided paying the sum until now. Continue reading →
The entire state of Florida has to send their officers to the anti-racial profiling and sensitivity training because their offenses seem to be endless.
Roy Middleton, 60, went in his driveway Saturday, to look for a cigarette in his mother’s car when police showed up on the scene and demanded he get of the car with his hands up. According to witnesses, Middleton did not show any aggressive behavior toward them and complied with their demands before they riddled the scene with bullets. Luckily, they were also unskilled in shooting because only one of the many bullets hit Middleton in the leg. Continue reading →
The Cleveland area has been open season on women for the past decade. So far, only the women that Charles Ramsey rescued have made it out with their lives. But even those women are mentally damaged beyond repair.
According to the latest report from Cleveland’s Plain Dealer, Michael Madison, 35, is suspected to be the newest serial killer in the East Cleveland area where three women were found wrapped in plastic between Friday and Sunday. They have not yet been identified by the coroner beyond the description of being African American.
The police were in a 2-hour standoff with Madison at his mother’s home on Chickasaw Ave., Friday, before arresting him. But, he has not yet been officially charged. Continue reading →
The craziest offenses are getting the young and not-so-innocent arrested lately.
University of Florida’s star linebacker, Antonio Morrison, 19, was arrested on Sunday morning for approaching the window of a police squad car in front of a night club and barking at the K-9 inside. Police were at the night club responding to a non-related incident when Morrison thought he’d bark at the dog because he barked at him, according to the Daily Mail. If this is sounding really dumb, wait, it gets worse. Continue reading →
As the George Zimmerman trial comes to a close, the authorities are already suspecting there will be trouble …and lots of it.
The expert predictions given thus far believe second degree murder will be hard to prove with the evidence and testimony that has been given by forensic specialists. And as we all know, this high profile case has the country on edge and most awaiting the verdict. But the fear is that with such a pressure cooker percolating there may be riots that exceed those sparked by the Rodney King case where all officers connected with the beating of the century were acquitted.
