Upon impact, this bullet, designed to inflict suffering, disperses nine needles throughout the target’s body.
*Well, there’s a new bullet in town and make no mistake, it means business.
G2 Research has just released the R.I.P. round.
I’m taking a wild guess here, but something tells me that a bullet designed to inflict intense suffering can’t be named Rest In Peace…more like, Go to hell. Continue reading
Tawana Brawley, ordered to pay one of the men she described as one of her attackers during a four-day rape and torture in New York in 1987. Now 41, Brawley resides in Richmond, Va., and is a nurse.
In 1987, Tawana Brawley of Wappingers Falls, New York, told police that she was raped and tortured by several white men, some of them officers as she noticed a holster and badge during the assault. They wrote “n****r” and “bitch” on her torso with feces, and she was found in a trash bag in burned clothes. In 1988, a jury concluded that her claims were all a part of an elaborate hoax, and in 1998, she was ordered to pay $190,000 for slander.
Now, in 2013, Tawana Brawley’s judgement of $190,000 to pay one of the men who was named as an attacker, former county prosecutor Steven Pagones, has ballooned with nine percent interest, to a whopping $431,492. Broward County police department put together a video entitled “Raise Your Voice, Not Your Hands”, in an effort to devise a “riot plan” to prevent excessive violence once the verdict is delivered on the George Zimmerman trial.
As the George Zimmerman trial comes to a close, the authorities are already suspecting there will be trouble …and lots of it.
The expert predictions given thus far believe second degree murder will be hard to prove with the evidence and testimony that has been given by forensic specialists. And as we all know, this high profile case has the country on edge and most awaiting the verdict. But the fear is that with such a pressure cooker percolating there may be riots that exceed those sparked by the Rodney King case where all officers connected with the beating of the century were acquitted. Black men are the #1 target of racial profiling in the U.S., so it comes as no surprise that there would be an actual conversation on the procedure taken when encountering the police.
