The recession must’ve officially kicked off for 2009.  Just when we didn’t think it could get any worse, places like Circuit City announce they are closing their doors.  Unfortunately, they are not alone.  They are only one of a list of chains that are either closing their doors or are threatening bankruptcy this year.  A major credit card transaction processor, Heartland Payment Systems, has reported a severe credit card information breach, but says that the customers can rest assured that their information wasn’t stolen?  Huh?  So is there a breach or not?  The CFO and President of the company thought it necessary to get the Secret Service involved in the case, so to downplay the security risk is futile at this point. D’Angelo is BACK!!  He has a new CD entitled James-River Project, slated to come out this summer.  Rumor has it that he has a few “collabos” with CeeLo Green (Gnarls Barkley), Raphael Saadiq (Tony, Toni, Tone), John Mayer and Roy Hargrove.  Although there was once a time in my life that I was madly in love with “D,” I have since moved on.  As much as I hate to admit it, I ain’t one of those down azz chicks.  I ain’t willing to stick around and wait on a joker to let go of his “addiction” and loose 50 or 100lbs.  Therefore, “D” will have to come back STRONG before I am willing to rekindle our relationship. The new President went to several Inaugural balls, walked the streets of D.C. in a parade, probably kissed 900 children and shook thousands of hands … all in a 24-hour period.  But then, what’s this?  He’s really not the President of the U.S.?  Chief Justice Roberts flubbed the oath during the Inauguration?  Wow.  A stellar career in law and no mistakes until now.  Hmmmmmmmmm.
