 What’s up y’all?!  Here is the dirt…

Michael Jai White and his wife recently gave birth to a baby girl by the name of Morgan Michelle.  Yada, yada, yada…we are happy for Mike and all but you know I have to give you the dirt.  Why did this fool do an interview with essence.com telling them that his wife proposed to him?!  Initially I thought that maybe he was exaggerating but he wasn’t.  According to essence.com she got down on one knee at the CHEESECAKE FACTORY and proposed to him.  You can check out the article here.

Side Bar- Ladies, school is in session so listen up.  I know this is the 21^stcentury and all, but can we PU-LEASE let a man be a man?  He all up and through the Cheesecake Factory cryin’ and what not…all the while rockin’ an engagement ring!!  Now I ain’t sayin’ that Michael Jai White is a beeotch…but I am saying that one would say that he may have some beeeotch tendencies.  You do the math!  Nuff said!  The school bell has rung and class is dismissed. Larry King show

All of a sudden people are acting as if  Black were out.  It was always in!  There hasn’t been a moment that I’ve been living that I haven’t felt that those who are not black didn’t want to be black.  For decades, rappers have talked about how there has been hordes of young white folks making a mass exodus out of their communities and selling out their concerts. It’s almost time to celebrate the accomplishments of black professionals and entertainers at The Trumpet Awards.  The show is aired on Cathy Hughes’ TV One and spotlights the achievements of African Americans and humanitarians across entertainment, business, sports, medicine, politics and law.

The show was taped last night, Sunday January 25, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and is hosted by Sherri Shepherd of “The View” and Anthony Anderson who is presently cast on Law & Order.

Some of the honorees this year include Raven Symone, Magic Johnson, Chris Tucker, Pastor Paula White, and the Tuskegee Airmen.  You’ll see performances by Teena Marie, Raheem DeVaughn and more.  Check out more on the show at http://www.trumpetfoundation.org

Hip-Hop was caught slippin’ under the conservative microscope of Bill O’Reilly.  Rap mogul Jay-Z and Young Jeezy (who Miller unaffectionately refers to as “emphysema”) was caught “expressing their happiness” over the inauguration of our new President.  It’s no secret that he’s black, but they needed to interpret that in a gangster fashion for the enjoyment of their crowd.  By the end of this segment of his show, O’Reilly suggests Miller have Young Jeezy over to his home to “talk some sense into him.”

Not only did they share their “joy” about President Obama, but they made sure they did just the opposite for Bush.     Of course the language used would be unacceptable for Malia or Sasha to hear and O’Reilly may be correct in saying that President Obama would not approve of this message.  If we had to go on his past record, Jay-Z and Young Jeezy are going to be officially denounced by his administration.  Check out the rant that Bill O’Reilly says Jay-Z “should’ve known better” than to perform:

It seems there is some dissension in the ranks as we position ourselves as a more United States.  The city of Nashville, thought it necessary that they exclude any other languages from governmental communication and become an “English Only” town.  Incidentally,   the vote was nearly half and half which made the legislation a real debatable issue that nearly passed into law.  What’s up y’all?!  Here is the dirt…

Kelly Osborne, the daughter of old school rocker Ozzy Osborne done checked herself into rehab AGAIN!!  This is the third time the 24 year old has entered rehab, the last being for her addiction to prescription pain killers.  It appears that no one knows what she is in rehab for this time.  I guess it’s “top secret.”  She could be addicted to twinkies for all we know.  I hope it works out for her.  From what I hear, the third time is usually a charm.

Speaking of re-invention, Condi Rice done let go of the Dixie Peach hair grease and the sponge rollers and traded them in for a more updated “do” with a tuck behind the ear.  While changing her hair do she also grabbed some red lipstick and some knee length boots…a long way from the boring ensembles we are use to seeing her in.  When I saw a recent picture of her I immediately thought, “Condi done either came out the closet and revealed that she was on the opposite team or she done got herself a man” and thank goodness it was the latter.  Condi done hooked up with William Morris … the agency that is.  (more…)
