Workshop Teaches You How to ‘Create Your One-Woman Show’ (Free)

*It’s that time again! The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival (LAWTF) has been doing its thing for the past 25 years — presenting solo women artists from around the globe, showcasing their one-woman performances. As part of the Annual Festival there is also an assemblage of workshops, where professionals share insight on the process of becoming solo artists and more.

As part of this year’s workshop schedule,  celebrated director-writer-performer, Jessica Lynn Johnson will host the two-hour class The Art of Creating the One-Person Show. The workshop will show you how to create YOUR solo performance vehicle!

Jessica Lynn Johnson is a board member of the Los Angeles Women?s Theatre Festival in addition to being the founder and CEO of her own company, Soaring Solo. LLC.

She has performed her own 25-character one-person shows for over a decade. She directed 20 solo shows at the Whitefire Theatre?s SoloFest in 2018. She helmed 15 solo shows in the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival, earning Top of Fringe, Encore Producer Awards and other accolades.

This is a presentation of Los Angeles Women?s Theatre Festival. The workshop will take place at Thymely Arts, 5481 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90029 on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.
