Desiree Rogers, Former White House Secretary, Says ‘This is the Real Michelle Obama’

Former white house staffer, Desiree Rogers (L) and first Lady Michelle Obama

*As if we needed confirmation that the speech First Lady Michelle Obama handed down in New Hampshire; the one where she passionately, yet gracefully, unleashed her fury on the inappropriate comments made by Republican Presidential contender, Donald Trump, who she would not even call by name, came from her heart.

But we’ll take it, Desiree Rogers, because after all, having served as White House social secretary for two years, you would know.

“I think the emotion you hear in her voice. Her ability to really articulate personally what this really means to her and how this can impact this nation,” Rogers said on CNN‘s ‘New Day’ — “you’re hearing something from the heart. This is not made up. This is her.”

And I believe the American public can tell the difference, too. Mrs. Obama is always very passionate when speaking on the many causes she has taken on with regard to the health of young people, and the self-esteem of young girls.

But this was different. I heard her on the verge of angry tears. I heard her almost wanting to kick ass!

She called Trump’s comments “shocking” and “demeaning,” and below “basic standards of human decency.” She then added, “I can’t believe I’m saying a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women.”

I can’t believe it either, Mrs. Obama. Donald Trump is a beast with no equal.

Listen to Desiree Rogers, who took on the role of CEO at Johnson Publishing Company months after she left the White House in 2010, as she speaks with CNN about the real Michelle Obama.
