*…My PRIVATE inbox, not my business one.
I don’t know, maybe I’m just being paranoid, but it through me off guard a bit when I got this email and video telling me to share these stories about “the real individuals BEHIND the badge”…those the email says we “often forget about.”
The “good police officers who love their job” and “take it seriously.”
Still don’t recognize who they are talking about?
Nah, I’m just playing with you, officers.
Who’s to say I’m not one to give y’all equal time?
The email came from the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) who admits how proud they are “of the dedicated service that LAPD officers selflessly provide to their communities on a daily basis.”
Its not easy having this job. And its an unfortunate reality that the good cops get dragged through the same mud as those who are not so good.
I guess you can say, mud does not discriminate!
Yeah. I went there…
In the two videos below, we hear Los Angeles police officers tell us why they became cops. Why they love what they do, and what those jobs mean to them.
The videos are produced by LAPPL.
But why am I telling you this? Just take a look at the email they sent me:
LAPPL video campaign
The Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) is proud of the dedicated service that LAPD officers selflessly provide to their communities on a daily basis. That is why the LAPPL produced the following video showcasing a few Los Angeles police officers sharing real, personal stories about their dedication and respect for the City of Los Angeles, their jobs and their community.
Oftentimes, the real individuals behind the badge are forgotten and the human side of law enforcement falls in the shadows. This video is here to showcase those who work tirelessly to keep public safety first and hold the line against chaos.
Please share and post the following video as we attempt to mobilize the real identities of LAPD officers.
Note: The video is available on two platforms, YouTube and Vimeo.
But you don’t have to travel that far. You can see them right here. Directly below.
