*Now you know it was only a matter of time for this to pop up, right? America will find a way to monetize ANYTHING or, in this case, ANY ONE who has generated any kind of news…or it will die trying.
And Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) Jenner, is no exception.
Inspired by her now infamous Vanity Fair cover, where the 65-year-old former Olympian poses smoldering, in a corset that her sons deemed “too sexy” in one article and Jenner opened up about his longtime fetish for feminine things inside, a new Halloween costume that serves as a replica of the look has emerged.
The costume was created by Anytime Costumes, and is described as a Caitlyn Jenner Adult unisex costume that comes complete with padded corset, shorts, a wig, and a white sash that reads: “Call Me Caitlyn”.
The costume is priced to sell quickly at $63.74 (for a limited time only).
There is even a Gaff pantie to tuck in your manly “bulge.” But that’s gonna cost you extra. It’s sold separately at Amazon.com for $22.
On the company’s website they jest:
“You probably won’t break any Twitter records when you wear this outfit like Caitlyn did.”
Of course, its no surprise, the LGBT community is not amused.
Gay activist Addison Vincent even created a Change.org petition calling for the company to halt the sale of the costumes.
“To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces that person and community to a stereotype for privileged people to abuse,” he wrote.
“At a time when trans women and [gender non-conforming] folks, especially black trans women, are being murdered at such a high rate, and homelessness, unemployment, and inaccessibility to healthcare run rampant in our community, making fun of one or all of us is utterly insensitive and deplorable.”
