*Looks more like 375 pounds to me, but whose counting? This sucker is huge! They call him “Hulk” and as lovable as he probably is, he is one scary looking dog – and next to that kid, even more so. But nobody knows their “baby” (this time I’m talking about the dog) better than its owners, so when Marlon and Lisa Grennan decided to let their little boy ride Hulk, a super-sized 12-stone pit bull that could snap a man’s arm with a single bite – like a horse, I suppose they knew what they were doing.
Grennan, 28, does confirm our fears though.
“A dog the size of the Hulk could kill someone if it was in the wrong situation at the wrong time. The power of this dog is unrivaled. If he bit down on someone’s arm with full power it would snap like a toothpick,” Marlon Grennan said.
“But he doesn’t have that kind of mentality. These dogs are very balanced and gentle – they are nanny dogs,” he concluded.
Aren’t you glad he did?
Hulk’s breed is actually banned in the UK, but his breeders trust the giant dog totally with their young son.
Marlon Grennan with his son, Jordan, and Hulk
Ten years ago, Mr. Grennan, a former boxer, started the couple’s business, Dark Dynasty K9, a company that provides protection dogs to high-profile celebrities, billionaires, wealthy professionals and even law enforcement around the globe.
He says Hulk, and his breed, are actually great family dogs.
Jordan, 3, has actually grown up around the potentially lethal canines with no incidents. Mrs. Grennan, 24, quotes many pitbull owners around the world, including this writer, when she says the dogs are misunderstood.
“I have no concerns about any of the dogs around my son,” she said. “They are amazing family dogs. People say these dogs randomly flip out, but that just doesn’t happen.
“They go through enormous amounts of training and are more used to going up against multiple grown men and hearing loud noises. So the little things a kid might do to startle a regular dog isn’t going to phase ours at all.”
When Grennan initially formed the company, it was with just two dogs after he suffered a hand injury that ended his boxing career.
They now own lots of dogs, and many of them live in the house with the family on a 150-acre ranch in New Hampshire, USA.
These include more than a dozen highly trained pit bulls and a single Chihuahua.
The dogs eat a protein-rich diet of ground beef and protein supplements, just as a bodybuilder would.
The Hulk alone eats 4lbs of ground beef each day. Check out the video below on Hulk! And Read more about these dogs and this company at The Telegraph
