*Miss Rios, apparently, got her job description a little twisted. As a school bus aide it is her responsibility to make sure the kids board the bus safely and have all of their belongings. The job does not entail going through their little backpacks and stealing their lunch money or the bagged lunches from those who can’t afford to buy lunch.
But this is what she did. She stole from the preschoolers. Shame on you!
Police in Millville, New Jersey. say they caught 33-year-old Rosa Rios on a surveillance camera rummaging through students’ backpacks.
She is now accused of stealing money and food from the 3- to 5-year-old children she was supervising in January and February.
Rios, who has worked with the Sheppard Bus Company for seven years, became suspect after the school bus driver complained that someone had stolen $400 from her. So authorities reviewed the footage .
Now Rios is under investigation in that theft.
Rios is no longer with the company, and was charged Friday with robbery and theft. She is being held on $70,000 bail at the Cumberland County Jail and couldn’t be reached for comment.
