Six Teenagers Charged With Murder for Beating Death of Homeless California Man

*Six teenagers from the San Diego area, including one minor, was arrested and charged with beating two homeless men, one of whom died as a result of his injuries. This according to statements made on Monday by county sheriff’s deputies.

One of the men refused medical treatment for his blunt force injuries and Stephen Hissom, 55, passed away after being beaten on a bike trail.

Deputies arrived at Santee, about 15 miles east of San Diego, on Friday after they received a call from someone who reported the fight, according to John Maryon, a San Diego County Sheriff’s Detective. They found Hissom deceased, along with the injured homeless man, on the trail.

Booked and jailed were Cassidy Rowin and Sarah Baillie – both women were 18, and three 19-year-old men: Tyler Dare, Brian Kish, and Danny Swan III. According to Maryon, all were incarcerated on Sunday and have been charged with premeditated murder and assault with a deadly weapon.  A juvenile has also been charged with murder, he said.

The county jail has set no bail for the adults. But they will be arraigned on Wednesday. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the violence and did not reveal a potential motive.
