*When Raven Taylor (pictured above) decided to jump in her car and send cops on a chase after she was unable to produce a valid drivers license or proof of insurance, it’s probably not a far-fetched guess that her thinking wasn’t altogether rational. Now the woman, whose 13-year-old son was in the back seat of the car, faces a laundry list of traffic-related charges that include driving without insurance, failure to obey traffic signals and reckless conduct.
Taylor crossed five lanes of highway traffic to avoid the wrath of Georgia state troopers who she led on a wild chase in Atlanta on Monday, according to WSB-TV.
And to think it all started with a fender bender.
Taylor, 36, was being questioned by officers before she freaked out and jumped behind the wheel of her car causing state troopers to follow in hot pursuit.
The mother exited the highway and arrived at an intersection where she reportedly ran a red light, striking vehicles along the way. Taylor finally came to a stop after she plowed into a tow truck and a few other cars.
She was handcuffed at the scene and taken into custody by state troopers.
Cpl. Dwayne Fabian told WSB-TV. “I don’t know why she would run from a trooper with her 13-year-old son in the car with her, but it happens.”
Police contend there were no reported injuries involved in the case and that her son is fine.
Taylor is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday to face charges.
