You start slow on the treadmill and gradually build up the speed. And just as you begin to hit your stride, a staff member comes and taps you on the shoulder and tells you to…what?
Cover up because you’re intimidating the others???
That’s what happened to Tiffany Austin, seen in the picture above at her Calif. home wearing the pink outfit she had on when Planet Fitness Gym staff approached her and requested she shirt up or leave.
She had toured the gym a week earlier and was eager to get on the treadmill and start her workout regime for the first time since being injured in a car accident.

Because Austin had just joined the Richmond, Calif., gym, she acquiesced, and agreed to put a shirt over her halter top. But when a second worker called her out as she waited for the first employee to bring her shirt, she drew the line .
That staffer said “excuse me, we’ve had some complaints you’re intimidating people with your toned body,” KTVU-TV quotes Austin as saying.
That’s when Austin asked for the manager, and for her membership money back.
The national chain of exercise gyms prides itself on “Judgment Free” workout zones and states the following on their company website.
“Members can relax, get in shape, and have fun without being subject to the hard-core look-at-me attitude that exists in too many gyms.”
Guess they forgot that part while they were hatin’ on Tiffany.
A corporate spokesperson told the station that dress rules are the discretion of individual managers and staff.
