*It has been said, “Consider the source!” and with that source being the current POTUS, a serious seed may have now been planted in the mind of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.
When president Barack Obama spoke with Boston NBC station New England Cable News, he boasted that Patrick would make “a great president or vice president” but added the governor will likely take a break when his eighth and final year as state chief executive ends.
“Deval’s done a great job and I think (it) signals that he could be very successful at the federal level as well,” Obama said.
The president obviously feels very confident about the governors skill set, adding that ruling out public service in the future would not be a wise choice for Patrick; though he suspects Mrs. Patrick wants him to take some time off.
With the election still two years away, a soon to be 58-year-old Patrick still has some time to think about it. So far, Hilary Clinton is being favored if she decides to run.
Clinton remains mum on the subject.
