*Ah man, one little kid (and her daddy) got a rude awakening to how unfair life can be sometimes. And to think her daddy so lovingly made her a cheese sandwich – not knowing it would cost little Faith 3-days away from daycare.
Sometimes life is just not fair.
According to Huffington Post, Canadian father Randy Murray gave 2-year-old Faith a cheese sandwich to eat before daycare one morning. Little did he know that she wouldn’t eat it right away, opting to tuck it away for later.
Where’s the crime in that right? Wrong!
Canada’s CTV News says that administrators at Centre de l’Enfant Aux 4 vents in Ottawa, has this strict “no outside food policy” and suspended Faith for three days after they found the sandwich on her person.
Now in all fairness to the daycare, CBC News reports do say they have this rule to protect kids who have allergies (but obviously the kid that brought the sandwich doesn’t have one!).
The policy holds that students who bring in outside food will be suspended for three days. If the food contains peanuts, however, students can be expelled.
“We do have children with multiple allergies and the parents are more than happy that we have all these things in place to protect the children,” said daycare director Deb Ducharme, according to the outlet.
If you think this rule sits well with Faith’s parent, think again.
