Lupita Nyong’o: A Black Beauty Shares Tips in the March Issue of Glamour

Lupita*One thing is for sure, once Hollywood gets their hooks into you, you are got!

Such is the case for new media darling, Lupita Nyong’o, who has caught the attention of the beast and is basking in the glory of it all.

You go girl!

As Glamour’s newest It girl Nyong’o shares “beauty tips” (as if anyone could duplicate that look!) as she talks hair and makeup in the magazine’s March issue.

But style is what she snared Hollywood with this awards season. Everything she wore only complimented the rich complexion of this 12 Years A Slave star and fashionistas couldn’t get enough!

Since Lupita’s emergence on the scene, every designer has wanted to dress the black beauty; who stood out at every turn of her many red carpet appearances.

“I love color. I’m enjoying trying all different shades,” Lupita shared when talking about how she maintains her beautiful skin. “Makeup isn’t something I’ve worn a lot of in my life. So it’s good to work with someone like [makeup artist] Nick Barose, who is inspired by my complexion.”

“I love using natural oils,” Lupita continued. “I use avocado oil and Hawaiian kukui oil on my face. I like to keep things natural, simple, and straightforward.”

And you might wonder if her closely cropped ‘fro was always her preferred style.

“The first time I cut all my hair off was when I was 19. I just got fed up going to the salon every week. I’d had enough!” said Lupita, who’s wearing Maybelline New York Sensational Vivids in Brazen Berry for a bold lip in the picture above.

“On a whim, it was off. It’s low-maintenance.”

And we love it, girl!
