n-AFFLUENZA-DEFENSE-large570*We’ve seen people get jail time for far less crimes, but this kid drives around drunk, kills four people, and gets no jail time?

What’s wrong with THIS picture you may ask. If you think there must be money involved, you’re probably right.

According to the Huffington Post, a judge has ordered no jail time for Ethan Couch, the Texas teenager that killed four people in a drunken-driving crash.

Couch was given probation last year for the wreck; but was back in court Wednesday after prosecutors requested 20 years in jail on charges related to two injured people.

The hearing was closed to the public.

Defense attorney Reagan Wynn told reporters afterward that Judge Jean Boyd ordered the teen to be sent to a rehabilitation facility paid for by his parents.

The judge didn’t name the facility, but the family did previously offer to pay for a $450,000-a-year center in California.

The sentence has stirred debate, and a defense expert says Couch’s wealthy parents coddled him into a sense of irresponsibility.

The expert termed the condition “affluenza.”
