*Let’s see cold-blooded killer: check, perpetrator of domestic violence: check, unlicensed gun and ammunition possessor: check, artist…Whoa! George Zimmerman paints…who knew?
It seems he has a favorite type of art he likes to spend his time on, too, paintings that quote the Pledge of Allegiance…Never mind the fact that he doesn’t even do this correctly: It originally reads, “One Nation, Under God, (did he intentionally leave out ‘Indivisible’) With Liberty and Justice For All,” but still, we’ll chalk it up to ‘artistic license’…
The painting, a blue flag shown above, started with a bid of $0.99 today. But as of press time…… the high bid had elevated up to $6,100. There are more than four days left until the gavel falls, almost ensuring the painting will draw higher bids.
So, what inspired Zimmerman to paint? Here’s how he explained it on eBay:
Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself,” says Zimmerman.
Really, and here we thought you were getting stopped by police for traffic violations; threatening your girlfriend with a gun, and attempting to flee with a handful of guns and ammunition.
“I found a creative, way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences. My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors 🙂 I hope you enjoy owning this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your friend, George Zimmerman”
The painting was listed for sale by “therealgeorgez.” Zimmerman’s brother Robert confirmed that George is indeed the artist, according to News 13.
