Google Ends ‘Chromecast’ Promotion with Netflix After High Demand


It’s not enough that everyone is sporting a tablet, iPad, iPhone, and many other smart devices, now they want to make their televisions into Smart TV’s without the hefty price of the newer televisions.

Google’s new Chromecast device is a hotter commodity than they ever thought it would be with retailers like Best Buy that have sold out of the nifty device that utilizes a cloud to transfer information to your television from your smart phone, tablets, and/or laptops.  Google started promoting the device with providing consumers with free Netflix for a three months with their purchase of the handy device.  But with such high demand, they have decided to end it, according to the Los Angles Times.

Those that have already purchased their devices will still get their free three month period, but when Best Buy restocks their shelves on Sunday with the devices, the Netflix will no longer be in effect.  The Chromecast device sells for $35.
