More and more every day, we take our life in our own hands when we choose to eat at fast food restaurants and buffets. But, we make our prayer over our food and proceed.
Well, one Golden Corral in Port Orange, Florida, will have you making prayers, throwing holy water, and sporting rosary beads while having a meal there. Golden Corral employee Brandon Huber exposed his long-time employer by taking a camera behind the restaurant to the dumpsters to show the public what they would be “enjoying.”
Huber panned his camera across the raw food, prepped for cooking, sitting in pans on the side of the dumpster. Flies were flying around the food as he exposed a disgusting pile of ribs for their coveted “all you can eat ribs,” piled up in a tray out in the sun uncovered along with trays of ham, bacon, and hamburger meat, just sitting out in the heat.
“To me this is disgusting. This is what my company likes to do to get ready for inspection. They like to put their food by the dumpster. I’m an employee here, been working here for a long time and I don’t feel that this is right. I mean look at it. What do you think?”
After Huber’s video made the rounds with the media, the manager of that location was fired for “improper storage.” But even though Huber tried to do a good thing to expose the restaurant, his father got involved and tried to extort $5,000 for his son’s video.
The local news station reported that Golden Corral’s corporate office gave a statement denying that any of the food was served to their customers. But our question is this…HOW DO YOU KNOW?! If you fired the manager for putting the food by the dumpster, why would you trust his word that the food was disposed within an hour and was not served to customers?!
