I must apologize for writing a piece on Kmart having a racist commercial about their line of knickers. I failed to inform our readers that the commercial was a parody of a Kmart commercial and not in any way affiliated with Kmart.
The company behind the parody is The Gunfordmay. They have made viral videos that spoof Kmart’s comical, risque’ word play ads like: “Big Gas Savings” and “Ship My Pants.” So Gunfordmay thought they could go another step up with the new ad we reported on June 18.
So! As I said before I made the awful flub (sorry Kmart) check out the video of the “Kmart Knickers” from The Gunfordmay and weigh in if you’re offended by it and even if you’re not.
Some of the wording they use goes a bit far, but they’re supposedly taking Kmart’s humor a step further by using stereotypes and making a play on the word Knickers…you know what I mean? Check it out and tell us what you think. Some of you already have, but this time, it’s with the proper information about the origins of the parody.
Again…sorry Kmart! Check it out!
