The Young and the Restless will never be the same again without the incomparable Mrs. Katherine Chancellor, also known as Jeanne Cooper.
Cooper passed on Wednesday, May 8, and the Young and the Restless has had some difficulty with the agonizing task of bringing her character to a close after nearly 40 years and nearly the full run of the show. But according to the Inquisitr, they have decided to dedicate a 60-minute special tribute show to the icon tomorrow.
“We’ve already written the show into July, so it will take some time before we can address her departure on air,” Phelps said. “In the meantime, there will be references in the script that Katherine and her husband Murphy are off somewhere on a trip.”
There will be about 25 actors come to the Chancellor mansion and reminisce about “The Dame of Genoa City” and her significance to them and their careers and real-life relationships with her.
What do you think will make a good ending for her character on the show?
