There’s been several raids of chinese restaurants attempting to serve some of your favorite pets to you, but another restaurant has been raiding zoos and roadways for your meal.

Taco Fusion in Tampa, Florida, was doing fine until they added “lion” to their exotic menu.  The tacos served at the restaurant include unusual meat ingredients that turn their tacos into a delicacy.  Some of the meats they use include: alligator, beaver, shark, kangaroo and formerly lion, according to Gawker.

The restaurant caught heat from an animal activist group called Big Cat Rescue which made customers aware that lions are not an endangered species, so they are less protected…especially from Taco Fusion.  According to the report,  the restaurant’s operation manager Brad Barnett said:

If you don’t like it, don’t eat it! (loosely translated)

But he had a change of heart when the customers became outraged.  Now he’s changed his tune by pulling the taco from its menu, and saying in a statement that they have “no plans to offer it again.”  But those of you looking for an exotic menu for Mother’s Day, they will still hook your mom up with camel or gazelle meat tacos.

Check out the report here.
