The residents of Boston, Massachusetts, as well as the rest of our country, is still shaken by the explosion that occurred during the Boston Marathon, Monday, April 15. But, the lives that have been shattered by the loss of their loved ones and those who were were severely injured will be honored.
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is asking residents to honor those affected by the bombing with one-minute of silence Monday at 2:50pm when the first bomb exploded near the finish line. The silence will be followed by the ringing of the bells in Boston and throughout Massachussetts, according to the Huffington Post.
Patrick along with the Mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino, called for the moment of silence on Sunday. So stop what you are doing and give them your positive energy at that time. London made a touching gesture in remembering the victims and their families on Sunday at their own London Marathon. Watch below.
