This is a time of recession and thus need, but expectations have heightened because of it as well.
A homeless man outside a 7-Eleven in Long Beach, California, was frustrated when a man refused his pleas for money. The man proceeded to get in his SUV, but as he prepared to pull off, the beggar threw a flammable liquid inside of his car and set the man on fire, according to the Daily Mail.
The 63-year-old victim was in critical condition with third degree burns to his chest and face. Raymond Sean Clark was arrested “on suspicion of attempted murder and on some misdemeanor warrants.” His bail was set at $502,000. Witnesses came forward to give their horrific accounts of the incident that they will likely never forget.
‘It was crazy,’ he said. ‘The vehicle went up in flames immediately, just totally engulfed. It was all flames. It became so hot in 7-Eleven that I moved towards the back of the store because I thought the windows were going to blow.’
Shannon Flynn, 16, of Long Beach, said the victim ‘was engulfed in flames. The fire was so big, people were screaming. I just can’t believe this happened here.’
Watch the report below. If Clark was looking for “three hots and a cot” for a while, then he barked up the right tree. But it’s unfortunate that he will be living in luxury conditions (for him) for committing this heinous crime.
