Hip-Hop only has one group that can break off and come back together like Transformers and hit the people hard with an unparalleled lyrical delicacy that does not require street cred or gimmicks to get their point across.
The Wu-Tang Clan is back, baby! But the long awaited return to the stage will not hit U.S. stages first. They have assembled all members for a two-day UK concert and a new album which hopefully means a U.S. tour will be next on their agenda.
The concert is planned for July and coincides with a new album and marks 20 years since they ignited the Hip-Hop scene with Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The Wu features: RZA, GZA, Raekwon, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Method Man and Masta Killah (R.I.P. ODB) on their sixth album “A Better Tomorrow.” The album is named after a track on their second album Wu Tang Forever. It’s set to drop in July, according to the Daily Mail.
Their concerts will be held at Manchester’s O2 Apollo and Brixton’s O2 Academy and will include a mixture of their classic tracks as well as some of the new tracks. Time to prepare for the Wu’s return!
