Summer is around the corner and your long awaited cruise vacation is here. But before you head out to the islands aboard one of these luxury cruises, you might want to find out if your ship checked out with the health inspector.
If Carnival Fascination is your ship, we can tell you right now…it did not! The ship is the sister ship that just saw all of those folks living in vile conditions while they were stranded at sea for five days. The ship scored an 84 out of 100 which is a fail. The ship’s minimum score has to be 85. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) paid a surprise visit to the ship, February 21, and described conditions that included “dead flies, leaking brown water and a cockroach ‘nymph'” in their report that was published this week.
In fact, the inspection took place during the same month that the Carnival Triumph had the engine fire that led to the ship stalling. During the inspection other items like not enough chlorine in the pools, were discovered that added to the failing grade. And you know how many people are peeing in those pools! Without enough chlorine, they become cesspools. Yikes!
Carnival’s ships are having all sorts of “technical” problems that may have vacationers thinking twice before they set sail with them again. Read more here before you go.
