George Zimmerman’s Mother Releases Letter to Public on 1-Year Anniversary of Son

george zimmerman mother letter

The entire country awaits the beginning of the murder trial against George Zimmerman that begins June 10.  But, some believe that the trial will do more to confirm the innocence of Zimmerman rather than show the incriminating evidence against him.

George Zimmerman’s mother Gladys Zimmerman, released a letter to the public today for the 1-year anniversary of her son’s arrest via her son Robert Zimmerman’s Twitter account, according to CNN.  The obviously biased opinions in the letter not only show support for her son, but is riddled with delusion and scathing comments against the public she is addressing.  She opens the letter with these words:

“April 11, 2012, will be forever remembered by the Zimmerman family as the day the justice system failed us as Americans, and as a consequence an innocent man was arrested for a crime he did not commit, solely to placate the masses.”

Well, that may be true.  But, if the “masses” believe that the man is guilty based on the evidence provided, he just may be guilty.  But she didn’t stop there.  She went on to address her supporters and provide encouraging words that lead you to believe that she not only believes in her son’s innocence, but believes the court will acquit him.

“My son has always told the truth and your trust is well-placed. The upcoming trial will not disappoint you.”

She is certain that the people will finally get to see the truth that attorneys have manipulated in the media and covered up in order to make her son appear as some sort of “mythological monster.”

“The media, with the help of social media, made it their prerogative to judge and sentence George before and after his arrest,” she writes. “Even members of Congress and self-proclaimed “activists” used and routinely use to this day the term “murderer” when they speak of him – in effect they are re-enforcing the only acceptable judicial outcome in their eyes.”

If you want to read the letter in its entirety, read it here.  But, she makes it clear from the beginning of her letter:

“I am writing from my heart and with incalculable gratitude to our family members, dearest friends, and those we have not personally met but who have nonetheless offered their unwavering moral and spiritual support…If you read this letter with the hopes of finding material to mock or rebuke – please stop reading now, because this letter is not intended for you.”

  1. She’s write, I stopped ready at “the day the justics system failed us as Americans…..

  2. If her son had done what he was told to do, he would not have left the car, and he wouldn’t be in jail– and Trayvon would still be alive. What part of this doesn’t she get?
