In sexual harrasement, rape, and/or physical crime cases against women, the woman’s wardrobe and overall appearance is often brought up and used against them. This is called “blaming the victim” because she essentially entrapped the man into bad behavior.
Jenelle Marie defines the term “slut-shaming” in a courageous article she wrote for Yahoo! News about her experiences as a teenager being shunned and misunderstood because of the sexual perception her peers had of her. She eloquently describes the trickle down effect of being “shamed.” The shaming did not help to persuade her from having sex or being flirtatious. In fact, she contracted Herpes and was more sexually active than any other time before the shaming began. Continue reading
Catherine Kieu, 50, chopped off husband’s penis and threw it in the garbage disposal July 11, 2011.
A man’s biggest fear of physical injury is having any sort of injury to his genitals. But, most men wouldn’t expect their lady friend or spouse t0 injure their prize jewels beyond a possible kick.
But 20 years ago, when Lorena Bobbitt literally took her husband’s life in her hands, by severing his penis and taking it and throwing it in a field, men were on alert! Since then, men have relaxed and forgot about John Wayne Bobbitt’s penis. Maybe because it was rescued from the field and reattached. But in 2011, in Southern California, Catherine Kieu put men on higher alert when she cut off her, now, ex-husband’s penis and threw it in the garbage disposal, according to the New York Daily News. No hopes of that being reattached! Continue reading
Henry Gribbohm lost his life savings playing a carnival game to win an X-Box.
There is some truth to the saying attributed to the circus man, P.T. Barnum, “There’s a sucker born every minute.” Someone proves it to you every single day.
Today’s “sucker” is Henry Gribbohm of Derby, New Hampshire. He went to the carnival to have some fun with the kiddies and ended up losing his life savings on a game that promised an X-Box if he could throw the ball in the bucket without the ball popping back out, according to CBS Boston. What never seemed to occur to the man was that he could actually have gone to the store and bought his own X-Box for the $300 he spent trying to win it. Continue reading

John McNeil (center) leaving prison after six years for defending his family and his home from Brian Epp, who he shot and killed after he threatened him and his son with a knife.
George Zimmerman is preparing to have another status hearing tomorrow on his murder trial set to begin June 10. The state’s attorney requested Zimmerman’s presence so that the court can ensure he approves the defense waiving his right to an immunity hearing, but also so the prosecution can determine what he is planning to do with the Stand Your Ground law.
But, as we prepare for this detrimental case, there is another case that should remain on our minds. The John McNeil case should set the tone for the trial, but it is only similar because Zimmerman used the Stand Your Ground law as his defense. McNeil had an authentic Stand Your Ground case.
John McNeil’s 19-year-old son was being threatened with a knife by an intruder, Brian Epp, who had once worked for McNeil as a contractor and had previous disagreements with him. Epp had been lurking around McNeil’s Georgia property and his wife, who was suffering from cancer, was interviewed saying that Epp called 911 and notified them that he was on his way home and obviously that Epp was on his property, according to Think Progress.
