When we have lost a loved one, the last thing on your mind is flaws in the service and/or burial.  The pain is so extreme that any mishap could cause an uncontrollable response.

But Evans Davidson kept his cool when he saw that the woman in his wife’s casket was not his wife.  Simpson’s Family Mortuary in Inglewood, California, was adamant that the man was wrong and tried to convince him that she looked different because of the embalming process.

Davidson had been married to Darlene Davidson for 51 years, surely he knows his wife…embalming process or not.

“They overwhelmed me and told me that’s the way it was and that’s what happens after they are embalmed.”

“I was pretty certain that was not my wife. Unless she did some awful changing.”

According to NBCLA, now a month later, Simpson’s is admitting their mistake after another family claimed that the woman they were trying to bury was not their mother.  It wasn’t until this mishap occurred that they realized that Davidson might be right.

Simpson’s has offered to pay for exhuming the woman’s body and give proper funeral services for both families, but it reopens a wound for Evans Davidson.  Simpson’s spokesman, Dr. Reginald Black, could only say:

“We have standards and we also have systems in place to try to ensure as much as we can that these type of  things don’t happen.  However, again, we’re human beings and can we make a mistake, of course we can.”

Davidson’s attorney Brian Witzer has asked that their be an investigation. Witzer said:

They need to listen to people! The family members who know best and do a due diligence investigation.”

Check out the report.  UNBELIEVABLE!

  1. They where straight out wrong. They only reason they decided to admit they where wrong is because another family said this person was not their mother and they really did not admit it them. Yes there needs to be an investigation.
