Facebook and Twitter finally have some competition for their millions of members …real competition.
Teenagers are taking to a new iPhone app called Pheed like a fish to water. The site was launched in November and it can now boast over a million members. It’s kicked Facebook and Twitter out of the top spots for social media sites, according to USA Today.
According to the report:
“One such proponent, Acacia Brinley, tweeted “@Pheed sickest app,” sending thousands of teens to open Pheed channels within minutes, according to Pheed.”
Pheed combines social-media platforms like Twitter, SoundCloud, Tumblr, Ustream and Instagram. There are also no limits on content size: videos can run up to 4 hours and 20 minutes, and photos can be any resolution and shape.”
Wow! The whole reason most young people use any of the social media sites is to post their photos. This is right up their alley.
