The Lay’s company needs to put a dollar in all of our bags for starting this addiction among us that they admit to in their slogan, “Betcha can’t eat just one.” Now they add insult to injury and ask us to weigh in on yet another flavor.
The Lay’s company started a campaign last year asking America to submit a new flavor for the prize of $1 million. Three finalists have been chosen and they are: Chicken and Waffles, Sriracha, and Cheesy Garlic Bread. All three are available in stores for a limited time so we can go and cast our votes online through Facebook or text in your vote, according to The Daily Meal.
Over 4 million people submitted their ideas via Facebook, and only three were selected as finalists. Eva Longoria and Chef Michael Symon helped promote the campaign. Longoria prides herself on being a sort of chip connoisseur:
“I don’t have a sweet tooth, I have a salt tooth, so I love chips,” Longoria said. “Everybody’s so curious about how chicken and waffles taste on a chip,” Longoria added. “And Sriracha, I just love spiciness on a chip. And then we have cheesy garlic bread, which is another one where you go, ‘How does that get on a chip?’”
Well, I’m going to have to help them out with this. Chicken and Waffles sounds like a winner!
