It will be a new civilization that discovers why parents find themselves in their absolute dumbest moments in or around places designed for families.
Chuck E. Cheese is the #1 spot that children find their little hopes and dreams answered (outside of Disney World, that is). But, that little detail was not a deterrent for 30-year-old Tawana Bourne as she threatened another mother in the Newington, Connecticut location with her .380 caliber handgun, according to the Huffington Post.
She pulled it out on a mother that complained about her son pushing her 2-year-old daughter off of a ride. But it should’ve soon become apparent to the woman where the boy gets it from. Bourne not only brandished the gun, she cocked the gun, dropping a bullet into the chamber, to let the woman know she meant business.
Needless to say, Bourne was taken to jail and relieved of her handgun. Bourne was charged with “reckless endangerment, risk of injury to children, threatening and breach of peace.” She posted a $50,000 bond and is due back in court on Feb. 19. She was described in the Hartford Courant as:
“…rediscovered God, conquered a crack cocaine addiction and pursued her dream of working with children.”
The Courant report also explained that she has two boys and is the founder of a local non-profit organization that educates parents on crisis prevention and intervention.
Well let’s hope that her lapse in judgement doesn’t cause a relapse.
