A woman is violently attacked and dragged from her bench, then thrown onto the tracks in a Chinatown subway platform in Philadelphia.
Subway attacks have become copycat crimes in two major cities on the East Coast. The latest attack did not result in a fatality, but was vicious nonetheless.
In the Chinatown neighborhood of Philadelphia, a mentally unstable piece of…I mean, William Clark attacked a woman on the subway platform. He first asked her if she had a lighter, but a disturbing surveillance video showed that he immediately became violent. He repeatedly punched her, then dragged her off the bench, and threw her on to the subway tracks.
Fortunately, he is no longer on the loose because as SEPTA Chief of Police Thomas Nestel tweeted:
But Nestel is under fire for holding out on the information about the crime. The attack happened a few days ago and he never alerted the general public by releasing this video. In his defense, he told local NBC affiliate that he felt that would’ve ruined their investigation because he felt that the attacker would dump the distinctive jacket he was wearing.
Check out the report below. Warning the images from the video may be disturbing.
