There’s a lot of talent out there that American Idol will never see. It’s not commercial talent that can be branded easy. It is raw, uncut, and at times may even offend.
There’s an unidentified rapper/singer whose video we found circulating on Facebook tells the truth of where he is in his life with a song he calls “My Life.” He’s not in a studio with a pack of his friends wearing thousands of dollars of jewelry and/or clothes. He’s sitting on a porch having a conversation with friends where he effortlessly performs a song he appears to freestyle.
The song is merely his story as the title suggests. It is laced with explicit language, but his gritty delivery with the only beat being his fist and a pencil to wood gives a clear view of his pure talent. Hip-Hop should welcome him with open arms tomorrow. Check the music out there and tell me what harm it could do.
I don’t know who you are, but I hope your song is heard by the right person. Donnita Tony posted this on YouTube with the title “3 Dam He Need A Record Deal I like”. We agree! Check him out!
