Gas prices are going up and if there is a cheaper alternative, a lot of us are trying to find out how we can benefit from it. But some of the gas alternatives that use corn to produce that are being offered are not cheaper if the damage to the vehicle is factored in.
Car companies like Ford, Honda, Mercedes Benz, Chrysler, BMW are voiding warranties for anyone using E-15 gas which is an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved gasoline that includes more ethanol. Car companies are reporting that the gasoline is so treacherous on their engines that they will not pay up if consumers use it in their vehicle.
The car coach Lauren Fix, spoke with Fox Business on the detrimental effects of the corn-based fuel. During her interview she informs us that the gas is a “highly corrosive” fuel that rots fuel lines and destroys engines. AAA started the warning with letting the public know that the problems with E-15 is for all vehicles that are 2o12 and older. So basically, everyone’s car!
Check out the report below before you try this gasoline. It appears that E-15, while approved by our government, is still a “Use At Your Own Risk” fuel.
