Does Samsung Galaxy’s New Ad Go Too Far by ‘Sexualizing’ Santa? (Video)

Santa's shocked by Mrs. Claus' video in this Christmas ad from Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Were you getting ready to deck the halls with boughs of holly when you saw the latest ad for Samsung’s Galaxy phone?  Did it ruin christmas for you watching Santa get all hot and bothered by Mrs. Claus?

It’s Christmas eve, and Santa boards his sleigh for a night of gift giving, when two elves run up to santa and tell him with excitement that they made him a farewell video they took with their Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Okay, harmless enough.  But then Mrs. Claus tells her jolly husband that she’s also made a video.

“I also made you a video,” then taps his phone with hers using the new Samsung Galaxy video transfer option, then gets closer and says, “but you probably shouldn’t watch it on the sleigh.”

Ow! What’s on that video, Mrs. Claus?  You little vixen, you.  (I just heard Vixen say, don’t get me confused in this mess.)  But while Samsung thought they were just being humorous, critics came out of the woodwork on attack:

“Perhaps while Santa was busy making toys, Mrs. Claus has been whiling away the North Pole nights reading “50 Shades of Gray,” or reaching out to a certain former Democratic congressman from New York?”

Granted, it is in bad taste, but a whole campaign of folks coming out against it?  Check it out for yourself and read more on Mediaite’s report here.

  1. This falls in the No Duh category due to the fact that there is another commercial with a woman and two kids seeing her husband off with the same content.

  2. I do consider all of the ideas you have offered for your post. They are very convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for novices. May just you please lengthen them a little from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.
