The Christmas season brings out the angels and guess what? We can see them! They’re not floating in the air with wings, they’re walking into stores and anonymously paying bills.
One angel is wide receiver Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans. He loves giving back to the children every year through his foundation. On Tuesday morning, with the help of the Pro-Bowler’s foundation and Child Protective Services, he surprised 12 kids, ages 8 to 16, with his annual Christmas shopping spree at Toys “R” Us.
“It’s just part of me. It’s a part of my life now, so it’s just something I look forward to doing every year,” Johnson told local ABC affiliate, channel 13. “Everyday when I wake up, I ask myself, ‘Who can I add value to today,’ because it’s not about me. It’s all about helping someone else. And at this time of the year, there are many opportunities to help less fortunate children have a great Christmas,” said Johnson.
The children are elated to have the opportunity to do this, but the guardians and/or families are as equally touched by his choice to do this every year. Check out the report below. God bless you, Mr. Johnson!
