Thanksgiving is here! And we’re all very thankful for whatever we will have on our tables tonight, big or small. But before the dinner jumps off, we have to get the ingredients. The food banks are helping those who need to be helped and American royalty took time to help out.
President Obama and the First Lady, as well as their children, and the Michelle Obama’s brother, Oregon State basketball Coach Craig Robinson, were up and ready to get out the veggies that are instrumental to the Thanksgiving dinner and any day at the Capital Area Food Bank, Wednesday, November 21.
The president, first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha were joined at the Capital Area Food Bank by Oregon State basketball Coach Craig Robinson, the first lady’s brother, and members of his team.
Every year at Thanksgiving since he became president, the president has offered a smile and good cheer as he and his family pass out bags of good food for the needy. According to the UPI, a White House aide said the bags included “carrots, apples and sweet potatoes” as well as a White House boxes of M&Ms.
