Some of you might tune into TLC’s hit reality show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” or at least be aware of the new sensation, child beauty pageant participant Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson from TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras. Some have labeled her family po’ white trash or red necks, but they say they don’t mind, just keep watchin’.
Mosaic artist Jason Mecier took that statement to heart as he took the time to build an art project around the feisty little reality star. He took 50 hours to create a portrait of her made “entirely out of garbage,” according to the Huffington Post.
Mecier meticulously placed 25lbs. of food items, recycling, and trash to complete the portrait. He used “butter, cheese balls, two red bulls, tiaras, an elbow made out of a cabbage patch doll, a chicken nugget and more.” Mecier said that all of the items are “inspired” by Alana down to the chicken nugget after her pet chicken “Nugget.”
Watch as his 50 hours is cut down to mere minutes in an edited version of the creation of the trasherpiece.
