President Obama was clearly winner long before he was re-elected Tuesday, November 6. He not only had the intelligence and a wonderful woman and family by his side, he had a spirit for justice that led him to this point in history.
After being re-elected, but before heading home Tuesday night, the president stopped by his Chicago campaign office to thank his staff for a job well done. The excited young people that work tirelessly to see him re-elected reminded him of himself. As the president shared his thoughts of his life in “full circle” he began to shed tears. He said:
“When I come here and I look at all of you, what comes to mind is not that you guys actually remind me of myself. It’s the fact that you are so much better than I was in so many ways. You’re smarter you’re better organized. You’re more effective and so I’m absolutely confident that all of you are going to do just amazing things in your lives. What Bobby Kennedy calls the Ripples of Hope that come out when you throw a stone in a lake, that’s going to be you.”
*Sniff, sniff* Dang President Obama, we’re moved with you. You’re amazing.
Listen to his speech below. I bet you will cry too. Congrats to the young people who are Team Obama!
