America is on its way every single day. We’re going to work, school, providing service to others, and some of us run to nowhere. That’s right! Some of the fastest, most reckless drivers on the road are endangering others in an effort to get nowhere fast.
Shena Hardin, 32, has time to think about the next place she’s going after a judge ordered her to give up her driver’s license for reckless driving. Hardin thought that it was a good idea to bypass children’s school busses by driving on the sidewalk to get around having to wait for the loading and releasing of young passengers. Did you say, “What an idiot?” That was the same thing the judge was thinking!
The judge not only suspended her driver’s license for 30 days, he went further by taking a more creative approach to punishing her for her actions. According to Cleveland’s local NBC affiliate channel 5, the judge ordered that she pay $250 in court costs, and:
Hardin must also stand at the intersection of E. 38th Street and Payne Avenue wearing a sign next Tuesday and Wednesday that says “Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus.” She has been ordered to wear the sign from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. both days.
That is great! What an appropriate judgment! Let’s just hope she doesn’t do a Madea and take to the road anyway with a suspended driver’s license.
