The most horrific crimes are those against children and the world seems to be after the babies right now. New York City, with all its crime, will never be the same after the gruesome murder that occurred yesterday in the affluent section of the upper westside.
Two children, Leo, 2, and Lulu, 6, were left with their nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, 50, who stabbed them to death and placed their bodies in a bathtub. The nanny and the children were discovered by the mother of the children, Marina Krim, when coming in with her three-year-old daughter from the three-year-old’s swimming lesson, according to DNAinfo.com New York.
This upper westside apartment building and neighborhood is normally filled with nannies, so it is nothing out of the ordinary for the family to have one. But, this woman, according to reports had just recently been hired by parents Marina and Kevin Krim, who is the vice president and general manager of CNBC Digital since March.
The family had just moved to NYC from San Francisco a few years ago. This unfathomable crime left the mother wailing and giving a blood curdling scream that was felt and heard by residents in the building:
“HELP ME! HELP ME!”
One resident, Rima Starr, who lives on the second floor near the Krim family, said she heard screams around 5:30pm emanating from the Krim apartment:
‘There was some kind of screaming about, “You slit her throat!” she said. ‘It was horrible.’
Authorities reported that Ortega killed the children with a kitchen knife and then tried to take her own life, but was unsuccessful. They arrested her and took her away in a white sheet.
HANG THE NANNY! STONE HER IN A PUBLIC PLACE!
God bless the Krim family. RIP Leo and Lulu!
