The president’s campaign is doing pretty good right now and folks want to see it stay that way in the face of those who would debase nearly half the country with their remarks that 47 percent of the country doesn’t pay taxes because they’re on welfare or some other assistance.
Well even though Samuel L. Jackson is not a part of that 47 percent he was willing to participate in an election ad sponsored by the Jewish Council for Education and Research that supports the president. Sam Jackson was probably chosen for the campaign ad because of his straight-to-the-point type style, but somehow we think that this one might not make it on to your television screen.
The video, titled “Wake the Fuck Up!”, is a cross between Spike Lee’s “School Daze” sequence where Dap runs through the campus telling students and faculty to “Wake up!” and the bedtime book that an adult better not ever read to a child called “Go the F**k to Sleep” by Adam Mansbach.
In typical Sam Jackson style, he delivers a rhyming message to a family that would otherwise not vote or possibly vote for Romney. He begins with:
“In the silvery mooonlight that bathes every town, the people lie dreaming so safe and so sound. They’re warm in their beds, snuggled up in their sheets. But four years before, they were out in the streets. Now it’s as if they don’t know what’s at stake, all except one girl who wide-eyed and awake.”
She is Suzy and she helps Sam get her family informed as they pop in on different members of her family throughout the house. Her teenage sister and a friend are “Facebooking” and texting when they pop in on them and say.
(Sam) “Before the last election, you girls held bake sales for Obama. (Suzy then says) With Mitt in office get ready for drama. A vote for Romney is a vote to have Planned Parenthood get cut! (Sam) Listen to your little sister, wake the f**ck up! (Suzy) I know you’re face booking, but wow! (Sam) GET OUT THERE AND SELL SOME CAKES AND COOKIES NOOOOOOW!!”
This thing is hilarious! Thanks Sam! Check him out! GObama!
