There is no better testament to the over eating going on in America than our buffets. The trough’s are getting more and more diverse and plentiful throughout the nation. The buffet is the big bang for our buck and perfect for feeding a gang of folks for one flat price. How can we resist?
It’s even more obvious that buffets are a big money maker when a super buffet like Caesar’s Palace new $17 million Bacchanal Buffet opened Monday on the Las Vegas strip. The buffet boasts more than 500 items from around the world. The American cuisine is still a part of the staples on the bar like prime rib and mashed potatoes. There are also mouthwatering items like king crab, Neapolitan pizzas, lasagna, sushi, enchiladas and roasted South Carolina shrimp and grits. YUM!
There is also a lavish dessert bar in this upscale setting with chocolate souffle’s made to order, gelatos and creme brulee. Now, I know you want to know what the massive price tag is for this delectable meal. Suprisingly enough, it is only $39.99. We pay that for a movie and popcorn these days. If they can manage to keep the price down and maintain the quality of the food, they will make that $17 million back in no time.
Can’t wait to try it out! Did I also mention that the breakfast buffet includes: made-to-order omelets and crêpes, breakfast pizzas and red velvet pancakes? See ya there!
